Ice Racing Series hits Cincinnati

Have you ever seen motorcycle and quad racing on ice? Well, if you can get down to Cincinnati on Saturday, now you can.

The World Championship Ice Racing Series will compete at the Cincinnati Gardens starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6.

Recently crowned AMA Grand National Dirt Track Champion Jared Mees of Clio, Mich. leads the Manufacturer’s World Cup pro division. Defending champ Kevin Anderson of Cambridge, Minn. is also scheduled to compete.

Among the quad racers, three-time champion Daniel Berquist leads the points standings as the series heads to its 12th race in the 15-event series.

Along with the racing, special attractions — including the Vertical Mischief sport bike stunt team, an appearance by The Monster Girls and barstool racing — will take place throughout the evening.

Parking if free. Tickets are available at the Cincinnati Gardens Box Office, select Kroger stores and all Ticketmaster outlets, on the Internet at: www.ticketmaster.com, or you can charge tickets by phone at (800) 745-3000.
